Wow !! Je suis sortie pleine d’énergie de notre répétition ce matin ! Le travail que vous faites est formidable et je trouve admirables les efforts que vous faites avec la langue espagnole (je sais, il y a beaucoup de mots !!!) et je vous en suis bien reconnaissante. 

Il nous reste 3 répétitions avant la prégénérale avec nos musiciens qui se déroulera le 15 avril dans nos locaux habituels de répétition. 

La prochaine sera consacrée en grande partie aux folklores. Je vous remercie de bien vous préparer pour que ce soit de plus en plus facile d’enchaîner ces pièces. 

La semaine suivante (le 1er avril), nous aurons la visite de Claudie Bertounesque, compositrice de Tu entames le chant (non ce n’est pas un poisson d’avril). C’est une occasion rare de travailler avec un compositeur ou une compositrice vivante. Voyons-le donc comme une expérience et non comme un stress. Cela dit, je vous encourage encore une fois à bien vous préparer. 

Nous consacrerons le reste de la répétition à la Missa Criolla. 

Je suis de plus en plus excitée à la perspective de ce concert dont l’atmosphère sera clairement à la fiesta !! Pour vous et moi - et pour le public !! - c'est l’occasion de festoyer et de célébrer ce 30e anniversaire en grand, dans la joie, dans le rythme et l’expression. Ça va être extraordinaire ! L’église sera en feu.

Dear choristers, 

Wow!! I came out full of energy from our rehearsal today! The work you do is great and I find admirable the efforts you make with the Spanish language (I know, there are many words !!!) and I am very grateful. 

We have 3 rehearsals left before the pre-dress with our musicians which will take place on April 15th in our usual rehearsal rooms. The next one will be devoted largely to folklore. Thank you for preparing yourself well to make it easier and easier to string these pieces together.

The following week (April 1st), we will have the visit of Claudie Bertounesque, composer of Tu entames le chant (no it's not an April Fool's joke). This is a rare opportunity to work with a living composer. So let's view it as an experience and not as a stress. This said, I encourage you once again to be well prepared. 

We will dedicate the rest of the rehearsal to the Missa Criolla. 

I am more and more excited at the prospect of this concert whose atmosphere will clearly be fiesta !! For you and me - and for the public!! - It is an opportunity to celebrate this 30th anniversary in a big way, in joy, in rhythm and expression. It's going to be extraordinary! The church will be on fire.
